Anna Gunn
Anna Gunn, an American actress. Her most well-known role was Skyler in the AMC's Breaking Bad drama, and she was the recipient of the Primetime Emmy Award Outstanding Supporting Female Actress in Drama Series 2013 and 2014. She also appeared in Jean Ward in The Practice and Martha Bullock in Deadwood. Anna Gunn grew up in Sante Fe New Mexico and discovered her love for acting when she was in the Preparatory School. The late 70's, her family relocated to Ohio. She was a student at Northwestern University to study theatre and was also a student at the British American Drama Academy. Anna was a part of a couple of seasons performing in Chicago theatre before moving on to television and film. In 1992 Anna was offered her first big character as Arden in the series of 29 episodes Down the Shore. After guest appearances as a Star in several TV Shows and movies, including Seinfeld as well as NYPD Blue in the 1990's She was then chosen to play Jean Ward as part of The Practice. She was cast as Martha Bullock in Deadwood for two seasons during the 2000s. The show was recast in Breaking Bad as Skyler, in the year 2008. Sully is the Deadwood film and other films also featured her. Gunn was also in the David Schwimmer directed production Sex With Strangers. She was also a part of the audio drama podcast series of four parts called Numbered Days, which was released in 2022. The romance with Walter White and his wife Skyler is usually the main focus of the narrative on Breaking Bad with the strained tension in their relationship, and the eventual end of their relationship echoing the same storyline of Walter White's final years of his life.
